KOHLER 4-cylinder turbocharged engines
The three models of the X4 Series are powered by KOHLER 4-cylinder turbocharged engines. The highly-efficient KOHLER system provides more power, higher torque backup and better fuel economy, resulting in greater overall performance. All engines incorporate an innovative exhaust gas re-circulation system (EGR) and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) along with DPF. These technologies allows the engines to meet Tier V emission regulations. Designed to reflect the McCormick family styling, the hood opens widely to provide easy access to the engine compartment for routine service and maintenance and to allow easy cleaning of coolers in dusty conditions.
24 X 24 Mechanical Shuttle
The X4 Series tractors feature a versatile, 24x24 transmission with four synchronized gears in three ranges with a mechanical HI/Lo. Two mechanical levers on the right side console shift between all four gears and three ranges while using the foot clutch.
